Letladi is the driving force behind Tuksesports, and is determined to ensure that Tuks students are further enabled to achieve greatness in esports.

With an impressive grounding in sport administration, Letladi promises to bring much needed skills and drive to Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA).

Letladi is standing for the important Executive Officer position. MSSA has five such positions on its Board. Such positions take responsibility and oversight for:

  • Development,
  • Umpiring,
  • Events,
  • Liaison, and
  • National Team.

Even though, according to MSSA’s Constitution, MSSA President has to allocate the responsibilities, it is only done after consultation  with the various office-holders.

One thing is for sure, whichever responsibility Letladi assumes, she will be a great asset.

Global esports platform Challengermode has announced it is working with influencer group Digital Superheroes and the Military & Veteran Gamers charity to support the amazing work they do for veterans and civilians.

In honour of Veterans Day this Friday 11th November, Digital Superheroes will be hosting MVG’s 2v2 Call of Duty Gunfight Tournament on Challengermode and spotlighting the incredible work the charity does in establishing a safe environment for service members to connect and heal through gaming. 100% of all the donations given during the event to support its amazing work for veterans. All proceeds from the tournament will be used to gift copies of Modern Warfare 2 to veterans free of charge with the Cods4Vets campaign.

The free-to-enter tournament will kick off on November 13th, where players of any skill level will compete for a significant $2500 total prize pool. There will also be additional giveaways of two GeForce RTX 4090 graphic cards and multiple copies of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

As part of Red Bull Campus Clutch, the largest global VALORANT competition for students, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere London is set to host the UK Finals on Sunday 20th November, which will see four teams battle it out for a place at the Grand Finals in Brazil. The Finals will be streamed on the Goose House, hosted by Matt ‘Twiggy’ Twigg and Vicki “Gottmoxi” Johnson.

Red Bull Campus Clutch gives student VALORANT players an opportunity to compete on a world stage, in one of the most exciting games to watch in esports. Open to all college and university students worldwide, players can represent their campus and put their skills on display, with the chance to play on the global stage.

Over 80 competing student teams from across the UK have been whittled down to just four for the LAN semi-final stage, with the final UK winner invited to compete in the World Final competition phase and compete for a grand prize of €20,000.

  • Red Bull Campus Clutch is a global 5v5 VALORANT tournament, open to university students from over 50 countries.
  • In the UK, over 400 players in 81 teams have battled across regional qualifying rounds to reach the UK Final, with four qualifying winners earning a place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London for the LAN Finals.

IESF Concludes Inaugural SimRacing World Cup in Monaco

The International Esports Federation (IESF), in collaboration with the Monaco Esports Federation (MESF), hosted the first edition of the SimRacing World Cup on October 23, 2022, at Louis-II Stadium which featured 12 teams competing for a total prize pool of €4000.

Following an exciting round of qualifiers between 41 countries and 80 drivers, the top 12 teams secured their spots for the World Cup. Ivory Coast, New Zealand, Hungary, Slovenia, Thailand, India, Argentina, Algeria, Slovakia, Colombia, Monaco, and Spain competed in the final, with Slovenia’s Jernej Simoncic winning the gold medal. Spain took second place, followed by Hungary, Thailand, and Slovakia.

IESF continues to unite the World Esports Family with 6182 views combined on the French and English streams on the Monaco Sim Racing World Championship’s Twitch channel. IESF’s rich and consistent history of hosting successful esports events provides athletes with the ultimate environment to perform at their full potential and brings together all esports stakeholders to achieve a united ecosystem for the proper development of gaming worldwide.

The International Esports Federation (IESF) Panam Open concluded in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after three exciting days of competition.

Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Mexico topped the podiums and will advance to 14th World Esports Championships Finals in Bali, Indonesia in December. The event featured 10 IESF Member Federations from the Pan American region competing for a total prize pool of $250,000.

The inaugural Panam Open featured six game titles, including CS:GO, Dota 2, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, eFootball™️ , and Tekken 7. Online preliminary qualifiers were held to determine the champions of four zones, North America, North Latin America, South Latin America and Brazil who then faced off at the Centro Costa Salguero in Buenos Aires, as part of the Argentina Game Show 2022, which saw over 100 thousand attendees over the course of three days. The 8th edition of the game show is Argentina’s largest gamer event yet, with the purpose of celebrating video games.

Bayes Esports Partners with Krafton

Bayes Esports has entered into a partnership with video game publisher Krafton.

As per the deal, Bayes Esports will supply live data to Krafton, specifically for players of PUBG: Battlegrounds.

Krafton is a South Korean company that has developed or owns the rights to several notable video game titles. These include TERA, The Callisto Protocol and the popular, battle royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or “PUBG” for short.

“We aim to support Krafton in laying the groundwork to streamline data access for its global community and scale their official data offering both for esports and community use cases,” Amir Mirzaee, COO and MD of Bayes, said.

“That will include enabling a broad variety of digital applications, including live and historic game data access, statistics and data visualisations, and many more.”

The collaboration will expand Bayes’ coverage, and in particular, build on an existing partnership with Riot Games for major esports titles, such as League of Legends.

“However, we’re still in the early days of enabling the esports industry,” emphasised Mirzaee.
