WakeApp expands its sphere of influence with a license to promote gambling in the US state of Virginia

Reading Time: 2 minutes

On March 21, 2022, the Virginia Gaming Authority released a new list of approved sports betting vendors. Wakeapp, an international leader in the mobile app promotion market headquartered in Cyprus with offices in the UK and Israel, has strengthened its position by obtaining another license in the US market. This time in Virginia. Local companies will now be able to use the services of an experienced agency with more than eight years of experience in the international market to acquire high-quality traffic.

WakeApp’s active expansion and discovery of new prosperous regions help them share their experience and fresh ideas with the local businesses.

The legalization of gambling in the state of Virginia took place in March 2020. However, online sports betting didn’t become legal until January 2021.

Most U.S. states have legalized sports betting, but Virginia remained on the sidelines until recently, when local authorities paved the way for legalization with passages HB 896 and SB 384 in March 2020. State officials realized that legalizing betting in the state could help bring hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue.

«An important feature of the Virginia region is the ability only to bet online since there are no physical gambling establishments, such as bookmakers or casinos, in the state. Tens of thousands of players flock to the online betting industry. This factor has an additional stimulating effect for the development of the digital and advertising component of gambling, which provides advertisers more opportunities to conquer this market» – Head of WakeApp Niko Belik.

WakeApp is an award-winning mobile marketing agency and a leader in promoting and acquiring mobile applications for blue-chip organizations globally.

Our internal creative department and media team have many years of experience generating high-value traffic and leads. Our primary focus is customer service, which is why our business is thriving as much as it is. We operate transparently, providing daily reports and a dedicated account management team that offers the highest customer support level.
