Maria Ozawa denounces Online Casino K9Win for illegally using her image on its promotional campaigns

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Maria Ozawa recently released a strongly worded open letter admonishing K9Win for using her image and likeness in promotional materials after her contract with them as brand ambassador ended.

According to the letter, Ozawa signed a one-year deal with K9Win. She was ordered to use her personal social media accounts for their campaigns, leading to them either getting banned or restricted, upsetting her as she was not compensated for this misstep.

In addition, she feels that she has been grossly misled as the online gambling company continues to include her in promotions and posts on their website and social media accounts even after her contract with them has elapsed.

“To my full understanding and as explained to me by K9Win during the contract signing, I would cease being their brand ambassador upon the completion of our contract,” Maria pointed out in her letter.

“This misdirection has caused significant distress to me and my current partners,” she went on. “Hence, I would like to set the record straight and make things clear: I am no longer K9Win’s brand ambassador and am in no way associated with their company.”

She concluded her letter with: “I am currently a proud business partner of Asia’s leading online gaming entertainment platform, M88 Mansion.”

In a few days following the letter, Ozawa conducted a live stream where she further emphasized that she is no longer K9Win’s brand ambassador and that the company should stop using her likeness to their benefit.

ANJ Revamps Evalujeu Self-assessment Tool

The French regulator l’Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ) has announced that it has revamped its Evalujeu self-assessment tool.

Launched in 2015, Evalujeu is a gambling-harms evaluation tool that offers users the opportunity to self-assess their risk-level through a questionnaire, suggests next steps, and offers devices to manage their activities. The test is based on the Canadian Problem Gambling Index (CPGI) measure which screens a person for signs of harmful gambling activity using a 31 item test.

Depending on a user’s results, Evalujeu produces personalised advice to maintain their recreational habits, regain control, or else quit entirely. The site also offers a suite of tools including deposit limits, betting limits, budget planners, game time limits and automatic withdrawal thresholds.

After seven years, the ANJ has revamped Evalujeu in order to improve the user-experience. This has included reworking the site’s branding and visual identity to accompany the new features. Users can now adapt the evaluation questionnaire according to different gambling habits, for example a sports bettor during the World Cup will be able to find a survey dedicated to sports betting.

The site will also feature new multi-media content, including videos of healthcare professionals who specialise in gambling addiction speaking on topics relevant to users, as well as podcast testimonials from those who have experienced gambling harms talking about their journey and the support options available.

Best iGaming Affiliate for the second half of 2022

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The online gambling market is more prominent than ever and it is likely that this steep increase is only going to continue in the future. Worldwide, hundreds of companies appear daily, aiming to offer the best services to players and other businesses alike. After all, iGaming does not only refer to the online casino itself, but the huge ecosystem behind it as well, with software providers, operators, regulators, marketing partners and affiliates among others.

AFUN Entertainment Group is no exception. The company, listed among the best Sportsbook and iGaming platforms across Europe, America and Asia, offers over 1,500 games on its platform and betting for 30,000 sports events. Beyond its extensive online gambling service offerings, AFUN is currently working to develop its affiliate program benefits in the Brazilian market which look very promising.

The Affiliate Program

iGaming affiliates use their online platforms to generate traffic for operators, in other words, they direct players to the operator’s website and gain a commission based on the amount of traffic. But why become an AFUN affiliate? Below are 5 reasons:

Simplified signup with high conversion rate

AFUN strives to provide the best online experience on a trustworthy platform. Therefore, it is exceptionally simple to apply to become an AFUN affiliate. AFUN also ensures high conversion rates by providing a comprehensive platform experience and high-end gaming enjoyment for each and every user. This personalized approach is sure to grab players’ attention.

Competitive commissions

With so many operators on the market, it might be difficult to find the proper affiliate programs. AFUN does not only promise a high conversion rate as a result of great gaming experience, but also commission rates that are competitive in the market.

Players can deposit and withdraw in crypto

Crypto casinos are on the rise as is the demand for such operators. AFUN closely follows and listens to customer demand and offers crypto payment options on its platforms. This ensures that players’ needs are met and thus, the gaming experience is enhanced.

Blockchain games

Blockchain games open up a whole new level of gaming, as they often use NFTs to create different parts of the game, bringing value to the game assets. Not only that, but blockchain games also provide a safer and more secure environment. AFUN hosts a number of blockchain games on its platform.

Marketing Sources

Finally, it is clear that a successful affiliate partner must communicate with its audience in an effective way. While written text is highly effective in conveying information, readers love visual stimulation, which makes any marketing material more inviting and memorable. AFUN provides their affiliate partners with such resources – banners, videos, etc. – to facilitate the work of its partners.

In conclusion

All in all, AFUN is a great platform that is present globally. With promising results and a focus on customers and business partners, the company offers great opportunities on the market. Check out their platform for further information, or contact them to find out more on their LinkedIn page.

Six iGaming Events to Focus on as 2022 Draws to a Close

Reading Time: 3 minutes

After a scorching summer recess, the iGaming industry’s collective batteries have been recharged in readiness for a return to a series of autumn events.

In what is now a truly global calendar, SBC Summit North America at New Jersey’s Meadowlands Exposition Center set a new attendance record as delegates flocked to a show that – as was the case with iGaming NEXT New York before it – focused on a North American market which continues to boom.

We have now entered an era in which marketing purse strings are being closely examined, both from an operator and supplier perspective. Getting ‘bang for the buck’, to use that US expression, is vital when it comes to assigning budgets to the remaining events of 2022. Bigger is not always necessarily better when it comes to gaining new sales leads and, increasingly, it pays to be smart when planning out an attendance strategy.

In this feature, European Gaming highlights the six events, both on a large and small scale, that top-level executives need to be pushing their sales and executive teams towards as 2022 draws to a conclusion:

iGaming NEXT Valetta ’22 (September 27-29)

Following on from the success of the organisers’ inaugural US event in New York City in May, iGaming NEXT is back to present the latest edition of its popular show in the Maltese capital. As was the case in New York, this is a VP-style show that has a unique vision, promising to cut through the noise with unique networking and learning opportunities provided by the highest level of content. Naturally, there is no shortage of topics to be discussed by the expert line-up of speakers. Everything from the growing popularity of Web3, NFTs, blockchain and the metaverse, to new markets launching in North America and across the world, will be examined. In a world of massive waves of M&A and investment, this is an event that will pose the question of what the industry can do now to secure its place in the future.

SBC Summit Barcelona (September 20-22)

The first major event to follow the summer break takes place against the beautiful background of Barcelona, an appropriately grand city to host a gathering of global leaders in sports betting and iGaming. This year, the show will be split into five distinct zones: Sports Betting, Casino & iGaming, Payments & Compliance, Affiliate Marketing and Media and Emerging Tech, and Blockchain and Metaverse. Each area will have its own conference stage, exhibition floor and networking area, providing up to 6,000 delegates with the chance to connect with fellow professionals, take a deep dive into the insights and ideas shaping the future of each sector, and to view the most exciting new specialist products.

Global Gaming Expo (G2E) (October 10-13)

With the vast potential for sports betting and iGaming in North America being such a hot topic, more attention than ever before will be focused on the second successive in-person Global Gaming Expo on behalf of the online gaming industry. Held at The Venetian Convention and Expo Center in Las Vegas, G2E is billed as the world’s premier international gaming trade show and takes place on a vast scale as business leaders convene to shape the future direction of the industry. Key to the event is an education programme that reflects the evolving landscape – essential given the complex, patchwork regulation that exists in North America – while topics covered within the schedule include innovations across online gaming, land-based casino floor, digital payments, crypto and Web3.

SiGMA Europe, Malta (November 14-18)

With a strong focus on the promotion of start-ups, the SiGMA Group once again welcomes industry leaders from all over the world to Europe’s premier iGaming hub. Over 100 free booths are on offer across the expo floor, with SiGMA Pitch – in which competitors vie for a prize pool containing investment and mentorship – provides an insight into some of the iGaming industry’s most compelling innovators. As is always the case with this show, networking opportunities are hardly in short supply and often come with a beautiful sea view, as business leaders gather for drinks, dinner and special gala events within some spectacular venues.

EGR Power Summit (September 13-14)

This invite-only event is being held at the Surf & Sand Resort in California, a state that has hit the headlines recently due to a long-running saga concerning the legalisation of sports betting. Guests attending the Summit will be able to connect through one-to-one meetings and social activities, while also joining in with the debate at expert-led content sessions including topics ranging from fixed-odds horse racing to proactivity in responsible gambling. Keen golfers can get involved in an event tournament, while there’s also a whisky tasting session at which delegates can unwind.

CEEGC 2022 (Central and Eastern European Gaming Conference), Budapest, Hungary (September 16)

Hipther Agency, parent company to betting and gaming media platform European Gaming, is preparing to host the largest edition yet of its CEEGC (Central and Eastern European Gaming Conference) in Budapest, Hungary. The 7th edition of the event is set to be held on 16th September at the Ritz-Carlton Budapest, marking the conference’s first return following the last two years.

Nanocosmos is on the way to boost player engagement for live casino and sports betting with adaptive, data-driven interactive live streaming at SBC 2022, Barcelona, Sep 20-22, 2022, Booth M22

The wellestablished, Germanybased provider for iGaming and betting operators will demonstrate its award-winning live streaming platform and API nanoStream Cloud with new coverage for improved Quality of Service and Quality of Experience and continue the focus on reliable integrated B2B interactive live streaming to be available on mobile and around the world.

Adaptive Streaming available for all users

Nanocosmos makes adaptive streaming a priority for its presence at SBC Barcelona this year. Live Transcoding and Adaptive Bitrate Playback (ABR) are now accessible to enable smooth streaming for all clients and free trial accounts. This enhances the adaptive streaming service not only by making it much easier for customers to manage their live transcoded streams, but also enabling uncomplicated access to the passthrough stream and live transcoded streams with different video quality levels. Adaptive Bitrate Playback and Live Transcoding are critical features for smooth playback on all devices for any network in any region. In addition, the new dashboard and API improve also usability and support for ABR. The ABR focussed features are laid out for operators to provide a seamless streaming experience for players and to unlock the full potential of interactive live streaming content that is available in all regions. In combination with the new player for subsecond latency, nanoStream Cloud is now positioned to cover both as part of the standard package: Interactive live streaming with the possibility to achieve subsecond latency, including live transcoding and adaptive playback.

Enhanced measures for endtoend observability and secure streaming

Furthermore, nanocosmos will Illustrate how nanoStream Cloud serves usability, reliability, security, and additional datainsight. The established interactive live streaming platform for iGaming and betting operators now added the streaming protocols SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) and WHIP (WebRTCHTTP ingestion protocol) to its portfolio which are available next to the established RTMP ingest protocol. nanoStream Cloud, the unique combination of an ultralowlatency live streaming CDN, browserbased player and advanced analytics, hereby continues to highlight the focus on optimized Quality of Service and Quality of Experience for a 100% stable and reliable system.

To allow gaming and betting operators to better observe the performance of their streamed content, Nanocosmos upgraded its nanoStream Analytics platform with an enhanced data logging and search backend. Customers will gain improved insights on streaming performance and respective parameters from ingest to playback. This benefits service and viewers’ experience. Customers can access additional data made available via API or dashboard. nanoStream Cloud users can now ingest using the RTMP, SRT and WHIP protocols for WebRTC ingest for improving connectivity, especially for remote ingest locations and higher bitrates.

One of the focussed areas of this year’s product development at Nanocosmos has been stream security. In that regard, the provider continues to build on the features that were added in spring 2022 the interactive live streaming platform and API now benefit from added misuse protection; it is possible to block specific IPs and websites that are using content inappropriately via both: API and dashboard.

“From ingest to playout to support and datainsight, nanoStream Cloud integrates all areas needed for B2B interactive live streaming and to continuously improve 100% stability, reliability and customer success. iGaming and betting operators no longer have to compromise quality of service, quality of experience and ease of use to engage their audience with interactive content. Our commitment is to provide interactive
streaming of high quality; our updates redefine interactive experiences based on the reliability and stability that our customers are used to”, says CEO Oliver Lietz.
