GGPoker, the World’s Biggest Poker Room, is thrilled to announce the return of its highly-anticipated GGPoker World Festival online tournament series, set to take place from Sunday, May 5 through Tuesday, June 11.

Following the groundbreaking success of last year’s series, which boasted a record-breaking $200M in prize pool guarantees, the 2024 edition raises the stakes even higher with an unprecedented $250M in guaranteed prizes.

The GGPoker World Festival schedule will feature a diverse array of tournaments across four buy-in tiers, ensuring that players of all levels can find events suited to their preferences:

  • Low Tier ($2.50+ buy-in)
  • Medium Tier ($25+ buy-in)
  • High Tier ($150+ buy-in)
  • Super Tier ($1,050+ buy-in)

Players will have the opportunity to qualify for festival events through satellite tournaments running throughout the series.

In addition to the monumental prize pool, participants will compete for a share of $2.5 million in extra prizes through the GGPoker World Festival tournament leaderboard. Leaderboard points will be awarded for each series event played, with $250K in prizes distributed between the Low Tier leaderboard winners, $500K between Medium Tier leaderboard winners, $750K between High Tier leaderboard winners and $1M between Super Tier leaderboard winners.

Scott Smith appointed Director of Racecourse Media Group

Scott Smith has been appointed Non-Executive Director of Racecourse Media Group (RMG), the umbrella organisation for 35 British racecourse shareholders and parent company of Racing TV. He will join the RMG Board on October 1, 2023

Smith is Chief Financial Officer at England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and brings to the role over two decades of experience in financial leadership across sectors spanning sport, property, construction and consultancy.

Prior to his appointment at the ECB, Smith was the Chief Financial Officer for the America’s Cup and, previous to that, Finance Director of A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.

Smith, whose achievements extend to having climbed some of the world’s most notorious mountains and completing the “4 Deserts” endurance series, said: “I am delighted to be joining the RMG Board at a time when increasing the returns for its shareholder racecourses has never been more important. In such a dynamic and fast-moving industry, I look forward to helping drive innovation and developing growth opportunities for the sport of horse racing”.

Cinematic casino game specialists team up with global betting giants to roll out five popular releases in .com and .uk markets

The new partnership will see a phased roll-out of five popular titles from Real Dealer Studios’ catalogue take place across both the William Hill and Mr Green casino brands in January and February, with these games initially being made available to customers in the .com and .uk markets.

The games, which will continue to launch over the coming weeks, are Real Roulette with Sarati, Real Baccarat with Courtney, Real Fortune Finder with Holly, Real Auto Roulette and Multifire Auto Roulette, meaning players at both sites will be able to try an exciting selection of casino staples from the studio.

Although two of the planned releases are “auto” titles, Real Dealer Studios are best known for games that feature professional actors playing the role of dealer.
