Eventus wins FOW Asia Capital Markets Award for market surveillance excellence

Eventus Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of multi-asset class trade surveillance and market risk solutions, has won the FOW Asia Capital Markets Award for Best New Product – Market Surveillance. The award is the second honor the firm has earned in the past three months for its efforts in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and follows its inclusion last week in the global AIFinTech100 list for 2021.

The FOW Asia Capital Markets Awards recognize excellence in the Asian capital markets. Winners are selected by a panel of judges with extensive experience in the industry. Global Investor Group announced the recognition for the firm’s Validus platform at its virtual FOW Asia conference. Eventus also won the FOW International Award for Market Surveillance Solution of the Year for 2019 and 2020.

Global Investor Group staff reported that the judges concluded Eventus is leading the way with its trade surveillance monitoring tools and that expanding in Asia with new clients and staff demonstrate that the firm has the right technology model at the right time, with the introduction of new features setting it apart from the competition.

Eventus CEO Travis Schwab said: “We’re deeply honored to receive the FOW Asia award and to have our platform and growing team’s efforts recognized as we continue to increase our presence and service throughout APAC. Whether in the cryptocurrency space or the many other asset classes we serve, exchanges and firms are responding to our powerful, real-time trade surveillance capabilities, as well as our market risk, anti-money laundering and transaction monitoring offerings. We’re also excited to be named to the AIFinTech100 – reflecting the strength of our machine learning and robotic process automation that help clients identify patterns and behavior that can have a major impact on their firms, while avoiding time-wasting chases in their surveillance activities.”

A panel of industry experts and analysts chose AIFinTech100 honorees after reviewing a study of over 1,000 companies undertaken by FinTech Global, a data and research firm. Eventus and the others were recognized as “the world’s most innovative solution providers developing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies to solve challenges or improve efficiency in financial services.”

Eventus last week announced that it closed on a $30 million Series B funding round. Proceeds will fund the firm’s continued growth to meet strong demand, with plans to more than double its workforce around the globe, expand its product suite and add new financial risk applications to Validus.

Eventus has now earned 17 global awards and honors since late 2018 for its technology, innovation and client service, including six recognitions in the past six months alone. The firm has been named to the global RegTech100 list for three consecutive years.

Eventus Systems wins Best in RegTech for second consecutive year in Markets Media’s 2021 Markets Choice Awards

Eventus Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of multi-asset class trade surveillance and market risk solutions, has won the award for Best in RegTech at Markets Media’s 2021 Markets Choice Awards. This is the firm’s second consecutive win in the category and the second major award win this month for Eventus.

The ninth annual Markets Choice Awards recognize the best in capital markets trading and technology across the market ecosystem. Following public online polling about the shortlist in each category, Markets Media determines winners from online responses, editorial interviews with leaders in financial markets and consultation with its MCA Advisory Board.

Eventus CEO Travis Schwab said: “We’re grateful to Markets Media and the financial market community for this fantastic recognition once again. Following up on the firm’s most successful year to date, we have worked tirelessly this year to continue our global growth initiatives, our constant enhancement of the Validus platform and our ongoing collaboration with clients to meet their evolving compliance and risk challenges. We’ve also further established our position as a global leader in providing trade surveillance and anti-money laundering / transaction monitoring capabilities to cryptocurrency exchanges around the world, in addition to our broad reach into more traditional asset classes. I’m incredibly proud of our team for all of the achievements and accolades over the last year, as we continue winning mandates to replace legacy surveillance and risk platforms.”

Terry Flanagan, Markets Media Editor, said: “Eventus continues to stand out among RegTech providers, with a very flexible, customizable trade surveillance platform that the firm is continuously updating to meet the needs of market participants, exchanges and regulators. Its new automation and analytics tools are among hundreds of features and enhancements over the past year that distinguish the platform, which meets the rigorous security requirements of many of the largest crypto exchanges.”

Eventus earlier this month won the award for Best Sell-Side Market Surveillance Provider in WatersTechnology’s 2021 Sell-Side Technology Awards, following numerous awards last year, including the FOW International Award for Market Surveillance Solution of the Year (second consecutive year); the Markets Media Market Choice Award for Best in RegTech and the RegTech Insight Award for Best Trade Surveillance Solution for the Dodd-Frank Act (second consecutive year). The firm was also named to the global RegTech100 list for the third year running and in late 2020 secured a spot on the Chartis Energy50 2021 list, ranking the world’s major technology players in modern energy markets. In addition, Business Insider featured Eventus as one of its “Breakout B2B Fintech Stars,” and Harrington Starr’s Financial Technologist magazine last month named the firm one of the Most Influential Financial Technology Companies.

Eventus Systems wins Best Sell-Side Market Surveillance Product in WatersTechnology’s 2021 Sell-Side Technology Awards

Eventus Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of multi-asset class trade surveillance and market risk solutions, announced that its Validus platform has won the award for Best Sell-Side Market Surveillance Product in WatersTechnology’s 2021 Sell-Side Technology Awards.

The 9th annual Sell-Side Technology Awards recognize the market-leading products and services designed to allow sell-side firms to operate more efficiently, transparently and judiciously, the winners of which are decided by a panel comprising WatersTechnology’s five editors.

“Eventus has had an extraordinary year, with its Validus platform coming to the fore in the trade surveillance market,” said Victor Anderson, global content director of WatersTechnology. “The platform provides the sell side with flexibility and customization functionality, while the large number of enhancements introduced to Validus during the course of 2020 offer new efficiencies, automation and other features that strengthen users’ trade surveillance and compliance programs.”

Eventus CEO Travis Schwab said: “It’s a tremendous honor to win this award in what has always been an incredibly competitive category among our peers. One of the driving forces behind the continuous improvements we make to Validus is the valuable input we receive from clients on problems they want to solve, new markets they want to enter and challenges they encounter from exchanges or regulators. I’m truly proud of our team that works closely with clients every day to solve real-world compliance problems and create measurable efficiencies.”

A new Automation Recipes tool in Validus gives clients the ability to automate a wide range of mundane, repetitive tasks, enabling managers to achieve substantial efficiencies while tracking relevant trends. For instance, Eventus staff worked with a large futures commission merchant’s compliance team on its efforts to manage cross-trade surveillance for global futures activity. Prior to the implementation of the automation tool, the team had to investigate and manually close out 5,000 cross-trade alerts per day, compared to only 20 per day after implementation – representing a 99.6% reduction.

In the past year, Eventus has also further cemented its position as a global leader in trade surveillance and anti-money laundering / transaction monitoring capabilities to digital asset market centers, playing a key role in helping institutional investors gain confidence in cryptocurrency markets globally.

Eventus won numerous awards last year, including the FOW International Award for Market Surveillance Solution of the Year (second consecutive year); the Markets Media Market Choice Award for Best in RegTech – Surveillance and Financial Risk Management; and the RegTech Insight Award for Best Trade Surveillance Solution for the Dodd-Frank Act (second consecutive year). The firm was also named to the global RegTech100 list for the third year running and in late 2020 secured a spot on the Chartis Energy50 2021 list, ranking the world’s major technology players in modern energy markets. In addition, Business Insider featured Eventus as one of its “Breakout B2B Fintech Stars,” and Financial Technologist magazine last month named the firm one of the Most Influential Financial Technology Companies.
