Jackpot slot developer using technology provider’s sophisticated OGA Jackpots platform to bring new player experiences to the market

Black Cow Technology, the provider of the Open Gaming Architecture (OGA), an advanced software platform that empowers operators and suppliers to innovate and take ownership of the experiences they provide to players, has hit the jackpot with its latest partnership.

Under the deal, jackpot game developer HITSqwad is using Black Cow Technology’s innovative OGA Jackpots platform to build custom, secure jackpot engines that support unique in-game and reporting features across its portfolio of jackpot slots and games.

OGA Jackpots is a fully customisable jackpot server for B2B suppliers and aggregators as well as B2C operators and allows them to create any kind of jackpot to sit on top of any game offered to players.

Black Cow Technology’s OGA Side-Bet framework has also allowed HITSqwad to develop its first Blackjack Side Bet title with a soon-to-launch jackpot-based side bet in the pipeline.

But that’s just the start, HITSqwad is using OGA Jackpots to pack its product roadmap with several new and exciting jackpot features that will be delivered over the coming months as the studio continues to establish itself as one of the leaders in jackpot content.

The deal builds on the existing partnership between Black Cow Technology and HITSqwad, with Black Cow Technology having developed the studio’s game engines using its smart Jackpot Game Development Kit.

“We love working with HITSqwad; it is a perfect example of an organisation being enabled to push boundaries because of OGA’s flexibility, reliability and speed of development,” the founder of Black Cow Technology, Max Francis, said. “What HITSqwad is doing with our OGA Jackpot platform is incredible and is exactly what the technology has been designed to do. And that is the freedom for studios and operators to think big and then deliver a great product and a compelling experience to the player.

“We already have a successful partnership with HITSqwad, which used our GDK for its game engine but this extended agreement allows both parties to really hit the jackpot.”

“We have bold ambitions to become the leader in jackpot content but we need smart technology to bring our ideas and concepts to life,” the Chief Executive Officer for HITSqwad, Charl Geyser, said. “In Black Cow Technology and its OGA Jackpots platform, we have the tools we need to do this.

“We have been working with Black Cow Technology for some time now and the scope and scale of its technologies are second to none. Black Cow Technology is a very important partner for us and we look forward to continued success as we keep bringing new and exciting jackpot experiences to the market.”

Frank & Fred Launches Brazil’s First Zimpler Go Integrated Casino

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Casino brand Frank & Fred announces the integration of Zimpler Go, a player registration and payment solution created by financial scale-up Zimpler, into its platform. The collaboration with Zimpler enables Frank & Fred to pioneer the Brazilian market by its Zimpler Go offering, that promises a remarkable fusion of swift account creation using CPF (Individual Taxpayer Registration) with a streamlined KYC (Know Your Customer) process, Pix payments and instant payouts.

This venture with Zimpler not only positions Frank & Fred at the forefront of gaming industry innovation in Brazil but also significantly enhances the brand’s player-centric approach, delivering a seamless, secure and exhilarating gaming experience.

Under its Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) license, Frank & Fred must adhere to a robust regulatory framework, and the brand steadfastly upholds a commitment to player protection. The integration of Zimpler Go amplifies the brand’s ethos of providing a trusted and compliant gaming environment, while also unlocking a host of new possibilities to captivate the vibrant Brazilian gaming community.

Zimpler Go is revolutionary both for the merchant and the end-user. To create an account, a player simply needs to provide his/her mobile number and a password. That mobile number is then linked to the player’s account and CPF, mitigating the risk of fake account creation. Once set up, the player can now make instant deposits and withdrawals.

Regulatory compliance is another strong point of Zimpler Go. The system checks if a player is a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) or under sanctions in the EU and Latin America.

Johan Strand, CEO at Zimpler, said: “We are excited at this new partnership and for the opportunity to support Frank & Fred to enter the Brazilian regulated market. It’s exciting to work with such an experienced team, always pushing to improve customer experience. Zimpler Go is the tool they need to meet and exceed their customers’ expectations and position themselves as a top tier iGaming platform in Brazil, while being fully compliant with local industry regulations.”

Johan Königslehner, Director at Frank & Fred, said: “The partnership with Zimpler propels us into exciting terrain. The Brazilian market holds a realm of possibilities, and with Zimpler by our side, we’re poised to redefine the gaming narrative. The Zimpler Go model has already proven to be effective in the Nordics and we anticipate it will resonate well with what the Brazilian gaming community will expect from iGaming operators. We look forward to exploring this venture with Zimpler and setting a new benchmark in the industry.”

PA Betting Services Signs Deal with CopyBet, Extending Reach with Innovative Operators

PA Betting Services cements its position as preferred partner to trailblazers with CopyBet deal

PA Betting Services (PABS) has agreed a deal to provide horse racing content to innovative United Kingdom (UK) sportsbook CopyBet.

CopyBet is a relative newcomer to the UK sports betting market, having launched its sportsbook offering in the second half of 2021. As well as offering a range of sports betting markets, it also has a unique tipster offering with players able to automatically copy the bets of leading tipsters or even become tipsters themselves.

The partnership will see horse racing offered to CopyBet’s player base for the first time with its players now able to access a competitive offering of UK racecards, race-day fixed odds and results, all powered by the market-leading racing distribution platform of PABS.

“With our own roots firmly planted in tipping and sports copywriting, it was refreshing to work with an operator that has such a unique way of boosting and rewarding both tipsters and ‘copiers’,” the Head of New Business for PABS, Richard Duncan, said.

“According to Gambling Commission figures, thoroughbred racing accounts for about one-third of all online sports wagering in the UK, so it was an obvious move for us to begin offering the sport to our player base,” the Business Development Director for CopyBet, Anton Ivanov, said.

“PABS’ broad range of content, coupled with its flexible commercial approach, enabled us to feel completely confident about our horse racing launch. Its flexibility and existing integrations with our technology providers made it the perfect choice for the supply of racing to our brand. We are now also looking to launch greyhound racing at a later date.”

The Copybet announcement comes just weeks after PABS was chosen as partner to up-and-coming sportsbook Midnite, which was also offering racing for the first time.

Nordcurrent acquires Swedish games studio River End Games, broadening its vision beyond mobile games into PC and console

Nordcurrent acquires River End Games; plans for the release of a brand-new IP the studio has been working on remain unchanged

Developer and publisher Nordcurrent has acquired the Gothenburg-based games studio River End Games as it looks to expand beyond its focus on mobile gaming as part of its growth plans. River End Games is a 17-strong team of highly experienced game developers led by Jonas Nordling, Anders Hejdenberg and Karl Broström, who have worked on AAA games like Battlefield and Need for Speed, smaller award-winning titles like Unravel and have created several original IPs.

River End Games was created in 2020 with investment and support from Amplifier Game Invest, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Embracer Group. For River End Games, essentially nothing will change in the day-to-day business and the studio will continue as usual; the name will remain the same and it will operate as a separate entity from Nordcurrent’s existing offices.

The studio has been working on an as-yet unannounced single-player game for PC and consoles with a strong focus on narrative and world-building, which will be published by Nordcurrent Labs, the publishing arm of Nordcurrent.

“River End Games’ team joining Nordcurrent is a big step in our strategy to expand beyond mobile gaming, where we have had a decade of success with games like Cooking Fever and millions of engaged monthly players,” the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for Nordcurrent, Victoria Trofimova, said. “There is a lot of innovation happening in the PC and console ecosystem and I’m looking forward to Nordcurrent and River End Games taking an active role in this evolving market.”

Nordcurrent’s aforementioned decade of success has seen its mobile titles be downloaded over 500 million times by players worldwide. The expanding portfolio of games by Nordcurrent includes its flagship Cooking Fever along with Airplane Chefs, Pocket Styler, Murder in the Alps and more.

“At River End Games, we’re a small but passionate group of people who love games and live to create them,” the Chief Executive Officer for River End Games, Jonas Nordling, said. “Our goal is simple: to bring world-class experiences to gamers. In Nordcurrent, we’ve found a kindred spirit and long-term partner that shares our passion. We are very excited about this new partnership and can’t imagine a better ally to help us create worlds and stories that gamers will remember long after they’ve put the controller away.”
