The important milestone deal sees bet365 customers gain access to award-winning titles such as Gates of Olympus™ and Wolf Gold™, as well as latest releases Drill That Gold and Chicken Chase™.

In addition, bet365 will participate in the hugely popular Drops and Wins promotion, which sees Pragmatic Play give away £1,000,000 a month to players through its operator network across both its slots and Live Casino offerings.

It comes off the back of a number of major partnerships agreed by the supplier in recent months, including 888casino and Romanian market leader Superbet.

Julian Jarvis, CEO at Pragmatic Play, said: “bet365 is a brand that needs no introduction. As the largest operator in our industry, taking our slots live with them is a hugely important moment for us as we continue to expand.

TalkBanStop Campaign has had Positive Impact, Says Ipsos Study

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A new independent study from Ipsos highlights the positive impact that TalkBanStop – a partnership between GamCare, Gamban and GAMSTOP – has had in helping people to stop gambling following its first year as a pilot programme.

The partnership brings together practical free tools and support which can help people to stop gambling and maintain a successful recovery. It offers a combination of personal support via GamCare’s trained advisers, free access to Gamban blocking software which can be installed on multiple devices, and signposting to register for the free self-exclusion scheme, GAMSTOP.

Since the partnership launched, Gamban’s blocking software has been downloaded for free more than 9000 times.

Evaluated by Ipsos, the research highlights the impact the tools have had in helping individuals to entirely stop or reduce their gambling online, with those making use of both Gamban and GAMSTOP, as well as using bank blocking software, the most successful in stopping online gambling.

For those individuals who did stop or reduce their gambling online, a noticeable reduction in gambling-related harms was observed. Respondents engaged with the partnership reported an improvement in:

  • Financial situation – people reported being in a better position financially, even just a few months after implementing the tools. Some reported they were even able to start saving again.
  • Enhanced relationships – participants reported they were enjoying better relationships after implementing the tools. Many remarked they were able to be more open about their gambling and showcase how they were dealing with it through the tools.
  • Overall wellbeing – people’s wellbeing was also a key area of improvement, with better sleep and a more positive mindset.
  • Performance at work – respondents also reported they were able to focus more at work and were not getting distracted by gambling during work hours.

“It gives you the stonewall that you need, that you’ve got to have in order to stop and then, once you’ve stopped, then you can start doing the work on why you did it and what the real problems are behind it. And that’s where the counselling was excellent because it did help me to realise what the real problems were,” one anonymous participant said.

“Since the TalkBanStop partnership started we’ve seen a huge value in pooling our tools and support together to help people stop gambling online. Throughout the pilot year we’ve seen how having all three of our interventions, layered together, have amplified the impact for individuals who need them most,” Anna Hemmings, Chief Executive at GamCare, said.

“Additionally, what we’ve heard from people is the value in using gambling transaction blocks offered by banks as an added layer of protection. While the tools and support have been effective, the bank blocks are shown to go one step further in restricting payments in land-based gambling venues such as betting shops. Going forward, we hope to work with more financial services to highlight the positive impact that TalkBanStop can have,” Anna Hemmings added.

TH March partners with Novidea to drive digital transformation with end-to-end, cloud-based broker platform

Novidea® today announces that it has partnered with the UK’s leading jewellery insurance broker, TH March, to implement its born-in-the-cloud, data-driven insurance platform. The platform will manage their complete end-to-end customer journeys for both high volume personal lines and large complex commercial risks placed into the London Market, all on one platform, with an integrated customer self-service portal.

Further, around two thirds of TH March’s growing personal jewellery insurance products are currently arranged by its call centre and a third via online enquiries. The new Novidea online portal will invert this to two thirds portal and one third call centre, so that TH March’s professional team can focus their efforts on High Net Worth and more complex accounts, with enhanced customer experience and operational efficiencies for both existing personal and business customers.

Andrew Alcock, Chief Operating Officer, TH March said: “We selected Novidea as we were keen to work with tomorrow’s technology. Looking ahead, Novidea’s cloud-based customer service portal will give us the edge to ensure we retain our market-leading position, by giving both our personal lines and business customers a much-enhanced customer experience and more efficient service, which is so important in today’s on-demand world.

“Although we were established in 1887, we have always been an innovative business. Novidea’s platform will be transformational, with all our six UK offices moving away from siloed legacy systems to one shared, data- driven platform, with integrated customer and business data and Management Information.”

Ben Potts, MD, UK, Novidea said: “Historically, the insurance market has been encumbered by legacy systems that are difficult and expensive to update, with limited access to real-time Management Information. Today, forward- looking businesses, like TH March, are increasingly moving to cloud-based platforms that enable them to automate processes, reduce costs, add agility, and boost customer service standards.”

The portal will ultimately enable TH March customers buying their March Plus product to manage all aspects of their insurances securely online, including policy information, mid-term adjustments, claims, renewals, contact details, and more. The portal will seamlessly integrate with Novidea’s end-to-end insurance platform, so that TH March’s team has access to live customer data from first enquiry to quote and bind, and claims.

Further, Novidea has partnered with Polaris, whose imarket product and digital trading standards are used market-wide by insurers, brokers, and software houses. This will enable TH March to offer major customers a one-stop shop for all their insurance needs, complimenting complex jewellers block risks placed via Lloyd’s and the London Market with e-traded cyber business insurance products.

NowBetNow shortlisted for EGR B2B Award on the back of winning coveted Landmark Award at ICE London 2022

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Provider of automated personalised content for iGaming and casino operators NowBetNow, has been shortlisted for Marketing & PR Supplier of the Year Award in the EGR B2B Awards 2022.

This award honours marketing service suppliers which enable innovative, multi-channel marketing and advertising strategies and technologies which boost customer acquisition and retention for operators across the iGaming world.

The EGR B2B Awards ceremony, which take place on 15th June this year at The Brewery in London, celebrates the very best service providers within the iGaming industry including betting and gaming software, networks, mobile, payments, recruitment, IT and infrastructure.

NowBetNow co-founder Stewart Vassie has also been awarded a prestigious Landmark Award at ICE 2022 last month. ICE organisers’ Clarion Gaming recognised Stewart’s considerable contribution to the iGaming industry over more than a 20 year career in, most notably, conceptualising and creating the leading odds comparison site Oddschecker and trading automation software provider Botsphere, before co-founding NowBetNow in 2018.

NowBetNow provides technology which generates and displays dynamic live bet suggestions, offers dynamic prices, is personalisable and clickable straight through to betslip.

Before NowBetNow started developing its core offering back in 2018, operators had to write and design display content manually using tools like Photoshop. NowBetNow transformed that highly labour-intensive exercise, which tended to lead to creation of generic, long-term offers like ‘Bet £10 get £20’ or ‘Bet on this weekend’s football’, into something that is far more dynamic, personalised, and automatically built to meet user preferences.

NowBetNow’s technology makes it possible to have highly specific, fully-customised, real-time, live-priced content for multiple matches, markets and odds formats ongoing – all tailored to the preferences of the individual users receiving it, and in their preferred language for operators serving multiple territories.

NowBetNow is able to deliver volumes and varieties of betting content at scale. Today some of its operator customers are showing over 200,000 pieces of unique betting content per month across multiple channels.

NowBetNow is also able to deliver click through data on new offers and modules, enabling operators to apply this customer insight to fine tune campaigns to only use methods which generate maximum consumer engagement, boosting average revenue per player.

Entain & ARC appoint working peer Lord Lipsey to chair new Premier Greyhound Racing joint venture

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Newly-launched entity, a joint venture between Entain and Arena Racing Company, announces working peer and former Chair of British Greyhound Racing Board as Chairman

Premier Greyhound Racing, a newly-launched joint venture between Entain, the global sports betting, gaming and interactive entertainment group, and Arena Racing Company have appointed Lord Lipsey as Chair.

Premier Greyhound Racing aims to deliver the market-leading greyhound racing product best serving racegoers, owners and trainers by delivering increased welfare standards and investment.  It will promote the sport as a betting medium to drive revenues for operators, revitalising the sport in the process.

Premier Greyhound Racing will represent the interests of a total of 14 of Britain’s 20 official and regulated greyhound racing tracks. From January 2024, the company will offer a comprehensive package of racing both to digital and retail betting operators and their customers, worldwide from the nine Arena Racing Company and Entain stadia along with five independent tracks (Kinsley, Pelaw Grange, Sheffield, Swindon and Yarmouth).

Working peer Lord David Lipsey returns to greyhound racing following his four-year spell as Chair of the then-named British Greyhound Racing Board between 2004 and 2008.

David Lipsey has been a greyhound racing enthusiast for nearly half a century. He has owned several racing greyhounds and two greyhounds – Zac and Brenda – were adopted by him and his family.

As well as his involvement with running the sport he was a trustee of the Retired Greyhound Trust (now Greyhound Trust). Some five years ago he was called in by then Sports Minister Tracey Crouch to negotiate a new deal between Greyhound Racing and the bookmakers which resulted in a £2m a year boost to the sport’s finances, by working with digital operators to secure their contributions to the voluntary greyhound levy scheme.

Lord Lipsey brings a wide-ranging set of chairing and directorship experiences to the role, spanning entertainment, regulatory affairs, the betting and racing industries. He is currently a member of the board of horseracing’s Starting Price Regulatory Commission

Commenting on his appointment, Lord Lipsey said: “As an owner, and a supporter of greyhound racing, I am taking a part-time professional role within the sport I love. I look forward to representing it and its stakeholders to improve welfare, safeguard integrity and raise competition standards to industry-leading levels.

“Greyhound racing remains a hugely popular British tradition- on the latest figures the sixth-biggest spectator sport, welcoming millions of enthusiasts through its doors.

“Under the leadership of the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB), it has established itself as both a great night out for younger audiences and fast-moving and absorbing off-course, digital entertainment. Premier Greyhound Racing believes that it has a huge potential both as a sport and a betting market, offering stakeholders a sustainable and commercially valuable product in the long term.”

Commenting on Lord Lipsey’s appointment, Richard Lang, Director of Commercial retail at Entain, speaking on behalf of Premier Greyhound Racing said: “Lord Lipsey brings a vast and varied experience both in and outside of the greyhound racing and betting industries, which will prove vital in unlocking the potential of the sport through the platform we will provide it with in Premier Greyhound Racing.

“Lord Lipsey is a lifelong supporter and advocate of greyhounds, the sport and its stakeholders and shares our commitment to invest in and raise welfare, integrity and racing standards.

“We look forward to working with Lord Lipsey to ensure British greyhound racing flourishes and enjoys a sustainable future, remaining a core product our customers enjoy for the long term, benefitting all stakeholders.”

Mark Bird, Chief Executive of the Greyhound Board of Great Britain commented on the appointment: “We welcome the appointment of Lord Lipsey as Chair of Premier Greyhound Racing, not only for his obvious industry knowledge, insight and experience but also for his welfare credentials.

“Having worked with him previously as part of the negotiations for an increase in the voluntary levy, I am delighted that he has taken up this position with a commitment to greyhound welfare.”
